From the Mouth of Babes

Tonight we went out to dinner as a family for the first time in 6 months. We were brave and thought that we would take Navie with us. She did really well and didn't fuss until it was time to go. She loved the bread that they give you until your meal comes and wanted to feed herself. She got so mad at me when I had to take it way because she was putting too much into her mouth : ). We just gave a chuck and I could not believe how much she shoved in her little mouth! I had to do two finger swipes to get it all out. She's a little chipmunk!

Speaking of Navie's mouth, here is a little video.
We thought that everyone might enjoy hearing Navie babble : )

Memorial Day

I hope that everyone enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend : ). It was pretty nice weather for outside activities and cook outs! We went to Cris' brother's house and had a cook out with the whole Chick family. We had shish kabobs (forgive me if its spelled wrong, it was a long day and I'm pretty tired right now. Plus I can't spell anyways) and Susie brought pies for dessert : ). We also did some simple fireworks for funsies. It was nice to see Craig, Sharla, and the kids again since we really don't see them much at all. The only time we see them is when there is a holiday of some kind. For the fourth of July we are planning on having the Chick Family get together at our place. That way we can put Navie to bed at her usual bedtime. She had a hard time towards the end of the night. She was so tired.

I just love this picture! Its a typical Navie grin : ). I love how cute she is in the headband. I'm glad that she didn't bother it. She is starting to pull everything off that I put on her. I have to use it now because I dont' think that she will let me get away with it come the fourth of July : ).

Navie have fun trying to get the "fireworks" on the headband : ).

Look at Our Garden Grow

This year Cris and I are starting a little container garden. It is our first attempt at it and I think that it is going pretty well. In this picture (from bottom left to upper right) we are growing dill, basil, yellow bell peppers, red bell peppers, yellow water melon (we'll see how that one goes), tomatoes, hot banana peppers, beets, and green beans : ).

Here are our beets and beans! They really haven't grown much the last few weeks but now that we are having warmer temperatures everything seems to be taking off! Literally, last night you could only see the tips of the beans under the soil and this morning when we woke up this is what we saw! Wow they are growing fast!!

Our little Navie bean is growing so fast too! Of course we couldn't do a post without talking about her : ). She is starting to pull herself up now. We have to lower the crib mattress because she is able to pull herself up on her knees. As soon as she realizes she can get on her feet, it won't be long and she will try to climb out. We're not looking forward to that but we are prepared : ).

Here is just another funny position she got herself into : ). We think that she must have sat up after we put her to bed and when she finally got tired enough to sleep, she just flopped over. Poor little girl : )! We love her so much.
