Halloween

Ok, so everyone knows I absolutely love Halloween. I couldn't wait any longer to change the blog to halloween. Of course I have pictures of Navie in her costume. I found this witch costume on ebay for $5.00. That included shipping! I find the best stuff for Navie on ebay and most of it has never been worn or only worn once. Its so great!

The Old and The New

For a little fun here is an old picture that we wanted to share with everyone.......

No that little blonde baby isn't Navie. Its Cris when he was a little boy. He is sitting on his Grandma's lap. The other two in the picture are his Grandpa and big bother Craig (this was before Corey was born). We don't know how old he is but he is obviously older in this picture that Navie is now but you can still see the resemblance! It amazes me how much Cris and Navie look alike!!

Well to go with the old, I have a bit a new news. As I think most people know, I was called as Primary Secretary at church. I have been serving in that calling for three months now and have enjoyed it despite the stresses that come with it. Well, today the whole presidency was released and so I was released too from secretary but I'm not off the hook. I was also sustained and set apart as the 2nd counselor in the Primary Presidency! I really excited about this calling. I still get to enjoy primary but now I have more responsibility then before. I'm going to be super busy because next month in November (I'm rounding the month since Sept. is almost over) we are going to have the primary program that takes up the entire sacrament service. This calling is going to be hard so I'm nervous but I have a really excellent President to work with. I hope everything goes well and I can fulfill my calling the way the Lord wants me too. Wish me luck : )

Grandkids picture

Today we had our primary quarterly activity and Heather and Will were able to come down. Since all the grandkids were together Grandma Chick wanted to get the picture of them with Uncle Corey that she sends in her Christmas cards every year. Who knows when we can get them all together again with nice weather. Taking the picture now while the weather is nice is definitely the best time to do it. This way we could go outside and the kids would be more willing to smile : ). I thought that the picture turned out pretty good and wanted to share it with everyone : ).

Birthday Cont.

I know I just did a post last night but here is a clip of the "Navie's First Year" video. Cris did such a great job with it. He took different video clips that we took over the last year and put it to music. It was so sweet to see how much she has grown from when we were in the hospital to how old she is now. Navie's First Birthday

Navie turned 1 year old on Wednesday and today we had her birthday party. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed decorating the house in ladybugs : ). I think that everyone had a good time. Of course we had dinner, presents, and cake. Cris had a very nice video presentation of Navie's first year of life. I really wish that there was a way for me to put in on the blog. I would love to share it with everyone but it is 30 minutes long and I have no idea to get it on here. Maybe I will take a short clip of it with my camera and post it later. I am so exhausted right now that I'm having a hard time thinking of what to write so here are some pictures from the party.

We even had a live ladybug centerpiece. Don't worry they couldn't get out : )

This is the cake that I made for the party. The ladybug came off and that was Navie's piece : ). The candle is a battery powered flickering LED candle that you can actually blow on and have it turn off. This way I didn't have to worry about and open flame.

Singing Happy Birthday

Cake face!!!! I love it : ).

Navie had a lot of fun with the cake as you can see. She even kept putting her finger in her nose and pushing cake up into it. She wasn't too happy when I had to cake it away. I didn't want her to eat too much and get sick.

It was a great day and we enjoyed every minute of it. I can't believe that Navie is a year old. We love her more than words can describe. Happy Birthday Princess! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

By the way...Navie took her first steps last night!!!! Cris was lucky enough to catch it on his iPhone!!! enjoy!!
