Midevil Meal

We had a good time the other night with our neighbors Joe and Audrey. Usually we get together ever weekend and have a game night. This week it was our turn and decided to have a midevil meal.


Cris got some Burger King crowns for everyone since it was one of his delivery stops while working and Joe brought some beer steins that he family got when they lived in Germany. Don't worry, there wasn't any beer at the dinner party, just cream soda : )

Audrey said that she had never had a cornish hen before and since we have made them so many time we thought that would be a great main dish. Of course we had to have the usual fixings of asparagus and mashed potatoes with Cris' homemade gravy. It was so good and think everyone had a good time : )

And we finally got a fire bowl (well ours is more like a pit). Its a lot bigger than you may think it is. It was so much fun to sit out at the fire and make smores. This also was a good learning experience for Navie. She could feel the heat coming off the fire and knows not to touch or play with fire. Its so cute, anytime she sees a picture of fire she says "hot". I think she has the idea : )

Easter Dress

Here is the Easter dress that I made for Navie. It was a lot of work. I have made some mistakes but I don't think that anyone will notice them unless I point them out.

Of course Navie has to stick out her tongue for the picture : )

I did not make the pink jacket. There was a pattern to make a jacket but I was glad I bought one instead. It was enough work making the dress and sash let alone if I made a jacket too!

I love this picture. To me, Navie looks so sweet and girlie : )

I need to make a new sash because this one got snagged on the front. I might make the new sash a darker pink if I can find the right color. They are all sold out of the one I want at our walmart, but I have left over satin of the light pink just in case.

Fun Times

So today was Navie's first day in nursery at church and she did very well!!! She only wimpered for about a minutes when we left and then went straight back to playing. I'm so proud of her and how much she has grown up. She has really good nursery leaders too.

Steve and Holly came out to visit and we got to spend two afternoons with them and my parents.

Navie and Caprie together. It was so cute to see them together! And it was so neat... Caprie started crawling while they were out visiting my parents! It was so awesome to see her on the move and come looking for us if we left the room. I love her so much. She is just so cute!

And here is the quilt that I had been working on for Caprie. It is actually a birthday present but I'm not sure if they are having a party and if we would even be able to make it, so I thought I should go ahead and give it to them when they were out here.

It was so great to see them again and be able to hang out. I really wish we could hang out more. I always have a great time with them. Plus, I grew up with my cousins and always loved hanging out with them. It would be so nice to see Navie and Caprie grow up close to each other and be friends. I hope they enjoyed their trip and got home safely : )

Winter...blah!

To any and all who read our blog, I'm sorry it has been so long since I have done anything with it. To tell you the truth, there hasn't been anything to report. Winter is one of my least favorite seasons because there is nothing to do. Navie and I are basically stuck in the house for now watching movies and Tv. I feel so bad for Navie because she want to go out side so bad. I hope spring will get here fast. It will be so much fun going out in the yard and playing. And since she can walk and run, it will be even more fun!

Steve and Holly are in town visiting my parents this week. They came down Sunday to visit after church and it was a lot of fun to see them. Navie and I are planning on going to visit them again on Thursday but thats only if we can get my car up and running. The battery died about 2 days ago. Cris is planning on going out tonight and getting a new one. I hope he will have time to install it before it gets dark. Usually I wouldn't care too much if the battery was dead because we don't really have anywhere to go during the day when Cris is at work but since I'm going to go up to Hershey on Thursday I really want to get a new battery right away! I have to get pictures of Navie and Caprie together. They are such cute little girls : )

So until then, this post will just have to do. I really wish there was something else to post about but winter is just boring for me. I have been making quilts and an Easter dress for Navie just to give me something to do. As soon as there is something to post, you can bet it will be up and ready for everyone to read : )
